Scan Functions File Format: The Sharp ARM201 supports two commonly used file formats for scanned data (TIFF and PDF)

Resolution: Select the optimum scan resolution for the original.

Scan Destination: Sends and forwards scanned images to destinations connected on the network (or local storage) by using: Send to Desktop/ Send to Email/ Send to FTP Send to Desktop: Forwards scanned files directly to a PC without routing through a server. These files automatically appear on your desktop as thumbnails.

Send to Email: Sends scanned files as an attachment to any email address on the Internet. Send to FTP: Sends scanned files for storage on FTP server. If you configure the Scan to FTP Server settings, the MFP automatically sends an email to destinations that are connected to the data. The message contains links to the scanned files, so receivers can view the file with a single click.

Long Original Transmission: Scans long originals (Max.500 mm in length) by feeding them into optional RSPF. Memory Transmission: Once a document is scanned, it is stored in memory.

To do so, information must already be stored on that machine in “polling memory.” This process can also be performed in reverse by scanning a document to polling memory on your fax machine as the information for the recipient fax machine.
